Vision

I grew up between suburban polish Walnut Creek, CA and the raw, quiet beauty of the foothills of Georgetown, CA. Having a mom who is an artist and a father who dabbled in Ceramics. Art has been a big part of my life. As an only child , I spent much of my time in my imagination, observing, collecting and creating.  I collected images, magazine clippings, photographs, words, colors, and objects that caught my attention, then rearrange them into something that felt like my own language. I even transformed furniture into collage. Covering an ordinary dresser with imagery became a visual archive of everything I was drawn to and still am. Music, fashion, typography, fragments of culture: nothing exist separately. I want to see it all together. Which is why I got a Bachelor's of Science Degree at UC Davis, in Visual Communication Design.

I lived through chapters I never would haven chosen: breast cancer, divorce, trauma, learning to understand my ADHD, and recognizing myself on the autism spectrum. Each one changed the way I see the world and the way I create.

My mind notices details, patterns, colors, emotions and connections that other people may pass by. Sometimes it's overwhelming. Sometime it's messy. Sometimes it's beautiful. and when words aren't enough, my art gives all of it somewhere to go.

Solitary Refinement is an exploration of the internal landscape. Each piece serves as a vessel for quiet introspection, translating the unspoken language of the soul into a visual symphony of using paint, collage, found imagery and pressed wild flowers, allowing each piece to evolve through intuition and discovery. It is an invitation to find beauty in the stillness.

I am drawn to fragments - images, textures, words, and natural elements that carry traces  of another time and meaning. By bringing them together, I explore identity, nostalgia, vulnerability, humor, and the quiet spaces in which imagination begins to bloom.

The pressed wild flowers found throughout  my work symbolize preservation and imperfection: delicate moments gathered, held, and transformed into something raw.

Where Solitude Blooms is both a creative philosophy and an invitation to slow down, look closely and find beauty in what is quiet, imperfect, and often overlooked.
